La Catrina

This is another cocktail celebrating the Swedish nature, as we are using local honey from Bee Urban as sweetener. It is perfectly runny to begin with, so there’s no need to turn it into a syrup.

The sweet honey pairs very elegantly with the tequila, and when bitter Jägermeister, chocolate, orange and hickory smoke is also added this creation turns out to something quite extraordinary.

Apart from flavour the smoke also adds drama to the whole presentation – and we have to admit we love a bit of drama every now and then. At least in our cocktail making ha ha.

Recipe by Philipp M. Ernst

Ingredients:

1,75 oz anejo tequila
0,5 oz runny honey
0,25 oz Jägermeister
2 dashes chocolate bitters
2 dashes orange bitters

Mixing:

Stir all ingredients with fresh ice. Strain into a decanter and smoke it with hickory wood, using a smoking gun.
