Absinthe

Absinthe, the legendary “green fairy,” is a high-proof, anise-flavored spirit made from wormwood, fennel, and herbs. Once banned for its rumored effects, it’s now legal and key in classics like the Sazerac and Corpse Reviver No. 2. Just a dash adds bold, herbal complexity to cocktails, making absinthe both mysterious and essential in the modern bar.

Madame Laveau

Madame Laveau

This is a recipe from the beautiful gem “The Nomad Cocktail Book”. We immediately fell for this cocktail seeing there was Strega in it. Strega is an Italian herbal liqueur which adds a load of flavour to any cocktail it's used in. The Madame Laveau cocktail lets the Strega shine through, while carefully letting its taste mix with other potent ingredients such as aquavit and rum. The result is a gorgeous recipe, elegantly balanced and packed with intricate flavors. Our friend Elin over at Travel

Sunflower

Sunflower

Another recipe from Kara Newman's [https://www.instagram.com/newman_kara/] book “Shake. Stir. Sip.” This is a Sunflower cocktail, created by Sam Ross. It's one of those four equal parts recipes, that is so easy to make at home. It was super sunny when we shot these drinks. We had to shade off the sun, at the same time as we wanted to make the most of the light - it is a Sunflower after all. Then sipping on the drinks outside, in the evening sun was quite wonderful. The cocktail is really good.

The Last Laph

The Last Laph

The Last Laph - the name of this cocktail has a few different meanings. First it's a play on Laphroaig, the brand of smoky scotch originally used in this drink. Secondly it's a nod towards classic cocktail The Last Word also being a four ingredients equal part recipe. Third, whoever drinks this cocktail might get the last laugh. It's a surprising cocktail with lots of memorable flavors. The recipe is by Justin Lavenue [https://www.instagram.com/justbitters/]. Mixing scotch and ginger make y

Hole in the Cup

Hole in the Cup

Hole in the Cup is the name of this cocktail. And according to its creator Lauren McLaughlin thats how quickly it disappears as it's so good. And yes we need to agree. This is a very delicious and fresh cocktail with some tiki vibes going on, thanks to the pineapple juice in it. Also those two slices of cucumber the drink is shaken with (without being muddled first) add a nice vegetal flavour. It complements the rather sweet pineapple in a good way. Negative Space

Negative Space

Maks Pazuniak is the creator of this cool and unusual cocktail. It's called Negative Space and it is a peculiar mix of gentian liqueur, chocolate, sparkling wine and absinthe. The cocktail has a taste hard to describe in words, but we promise an instant wow-effect if you try it or serve it to somebody. (Not guaranteeing you will actually love it, just that it will make an impression). Now we loved it, this is definitely a cocktail appealing to our taste. There are bitter notes, licorice flavors

Seaplane

Seaplane

The Seaplane by Joseph Schwartz is a French 75 riff, meaning theres lots of Champagne in it! And who doesn't love a Champagne driven cocktail? Theres something instantly luxurious with sparkling drinks we think, especially when real Champagne is used. In The Seaplane there's also Absinthe, and even if the amount is tiny it boosts the cocktail with both character and confidence. The gin means the dryness from the Champagne is further enhanced, while simple syrup and lemon balance the overall fla

French Intervention

French Intervention

Happy new year! Can you believe we are already saying goodbye to 2017 and at the same time welcoming 2018?! From a cocktail point of view 2017 has been fantastic. Not only have we been fortunate enough to visit several of the world's best bars, but we have also found so many new great recipes that we have tried at home. We obviously want to end this year with a bang. And the French Intervention by liquid talent Shawn @narphorium is a super exciting cocktail to be shaking on new years eve. The
