We are always drawn to complex cocktails like this one. Luxury Cognac, an interesting vermouth and then a high quality absinthe. This is what makes cocktails so cool! But despite the many potent ingredients, this cocktail is surprisingly harmonic. The amount of absinthe used is just the right not to overwhelm, but still be much present and noticeable. And serving cocktails in tall wine glasses is beautiful we think. We should do that more often! Recipe by Erik Lorincz Ingredients: 1,5

BYRRH ORANGE

BYRRH ORANGE

We love how this recipe highlights Byrrh, an aromatised wine-based apéritif that is excellent in cocktails. Combining it with orange is even more fantastic and the flavors play so well together. Byrrh Orange Recipe from “Apéritif” Ingredients: 1,5 oz dry vermouth 0,75 oz Byrrh 0,5 oz orange liqueur 2 dashes orange bitters Mixing: Stir all ingredients with fresh ice and strain into a lowball glass. Waldorf Negroni

Waldorf Negroni

When we saw this one in Matt's feed we knew we needed to re-stir it. It's made with all things delicious at once. Apple brandy, fortified wine, walnuts and crispy celery bitters. Wow this was the perfect drink to make after the Astoria we posted the day before yesterday! Waldorf Negroni Recipe by Matt @theamateurmixologist [https://www.instagram.com/theamateurmixologist/] Ingredients: 1 oz Calvados 1 oz Byrrh 1 oz walnut liqueur 2 dashes celery bitters Mixing: Stir all ingredients with f

L'Escolar Gin and Tonic Riff

L'Escolar Gin and Tonic Riff

Normally when tonic syrups are used there's always some sparkles added in the end, either regular club soda or even sparkling wine. What caught our attention in this recipe was the lack of bubbles. Instead concentrated tonic syrup is stirred with gin, Byrrh and bitters resulting in a very elegant cocktail. It shares characteristics with a classic gin and tonic, but is obviously more concentrated. By accident one of the photos we took got slightly off-angle. But maybe it was meant to be as o

Get Off The Stand

Get Off The Stand

A red beauty this highball becomes, thanks to the Byrrh. It's a refreshing cocktail, with slight tiki vibes from all that rum. We made this drink on one of the last really hot summer days of the season. From now on our feed is likely to become a bit more boozy, brown and lowball. Welcome autumn! Get Off The Stand Recipe Ingredients: 2 oz white rum 1,5 oz Byrrh 0,33 oz lemon juice 3 dashes chocolate bitters club soda to top up with Mixing: Shake all ingredients except the club soda with i

The Casualty

The Casualty

The Casualty, by Chris Elford is a boozy sipper based on scotch, amaro Montenegro and Byrrh. The latter is only added in a small amount, but the dryness it contributes with is so lovely that it kind of defines the whole cocktail. This cocktail originates from Amor y Amargo in New York city, and it's a very typical drink of them. Lots of amaro Montenegro in the drink, which is one of the most delicious amaris available in our opinion. The orange zest garnish is quite crucial. Make full use of i

The Italian Job

The Italian Job

This cocktail, The Italian Job by Joseph Akhavan, is easily one of the most delicious and delicate drinks we've ever made at home. To us is has it all; good ingredients, a catchy name, an easy to remember equal part recipe and a stunning colour. It's the kind of cocktail that just begs to be photographed and featured online. So what's in it? Well it's a delicious blend of Smith & Cross rum, Cocchi Americano, Aperol and Byrrh. As it's an equal part recipe it's easy to scale, for example if you w
