The Swedish cherries are here, and we wanted that to permeate this post. While not using the cherries in the actual cocktail they made a perfect side snack to be enjoyed together with the drink. And, with Heering in the ingredients list there is still cherry in the cocktail, although Danish rather than Swedish. The cocktail turned out nicely, maybe a little on the sweet side. The Blood and Sand is a classic cocktail for a reason. That combination os smoky scotch, cherry Heering and orange juice works so well. And it's obviously the cherry Heering that bloodstains the cocktail, but when it tastes as delicious as here, that's perfectly fine! The Sinu Metu by Joy Richardson is made with Irish whiskey. We don't use that very often we have to admit, but we do have a bottle of Jameson in our cabinets and we decided it was time to put it to use. Also we realized the colour of the finished cocktail would match our new coasters. We bought them at the Museum of Spirits here in Stockholm.
