Bicycle Thief – is what Zachary Gelnaw-Rubin and Abraham Hawkins call this joint-effort creation.
There are quite a few ingredients in the drink, so measuring it up is a bit time consuming. Take your time though and be accurate as the ratio between the ingredients is quite delicate.
The ruby red coloured cocktail you end up with is not only beautiful but also very delicious. It’s relatively bitter with all that gin, Campari and grapefruit juice but it is of course nicely countered by the simple syrup and the lemon juice.
1 oz gin
1 oz Campari
1,5 oz grapefruit juice
0,5 oz fresh lemon juice
0,5 oz simple syrup
Club Soda – to top up with
Shake all ingredients but the Club Soda with ice and strain into a highball glass filled with ice cubes. Top up with Club Soda and garnish with an orange slice.
