Fernet-Branca is often used in small quantities, but in this drink it plays the lead role. Being deliciously bitter on its own, it pairs well with the sweetness of ginger beer and sourness of the fresh lime.
Long-drinks are so great, you can really enjoy them in big gulps given the low alcohol by volume. Ginger beer is actually really good on its own, but the Fernet-Branca certainly enhances it in this fantastic recipe.

1,5 oz Fernet-Branca
1 oz lime juice
1 dash Angostura bitters
Shake the first three ingredients with fresh ice and fine strain into a highball glass. Add ice cubes and top up with the ginger beer. Garnish with a lime wheel and add a sustainable straw.
