Italian Malfy gin has a really distinctive lemon flavour, which we wanted to showcase in a cocktail.

The Midway Fuji is made with only two ingredients in equal parts, gin and sake. It is a dry and crisp cocktail, allowing both its ingredients to shine. The citrusy Malfy gin worked so well in this one, and it contrasts so nicely to the sake. The tiny piece of cucumber became both the cutest garnish and the perfect snack to go with this dry drink.

We think this is a great way to enjoy the Malfy gin, combined with not too competing ingredients. Martini styled recipes are probably a good way to go. We enjoyed the gin a lot and we will continue to use it in drinks where gin is the dominant ingredient.

A Spirit(ual) Journey Throughout the North of Sweden

It has always been on our wishlist, to tour the more northern parts of Sweden. Our interest in spirits and cocktails have taken us to many places in Sweden and abroad, but until now not really more north than Uppsala. Well this just changed, as we got the chance to pay a visit to gin producer Norrbottens Destilleri. And this was just the start of five fantastic days, driving between so many beautiful spots.
