The name might be short and easy, but the cocktail is long and complex. It is made with three different sweeteners, each one full of distinct flavor. Then there is the Dry Rye gin [http://www.stgeorgespirits.com/spirits/gins/st-george-dry-rye-gin/] in a rather small amount followed by a generous splash of genever. Very noticeable is also the colour of this drink, it gets intensely yellow, making it look very tempting. V.O.C. Recipe by Jim Betz Ingredients: 1 barspoon cinnamon syrup 0,25 oz gi

We just love using preserves in cocktails. It often gives a very fresh and vibrant flavour to the drink, at the same time sweetening it a bit. In this cocktail it's orange marmelade that is combined with genever and fresh orange juice to create a very orange intense cocktail. The result is a delicious, fruity yet boozy, drink that is so nice to sip slowly a hot summer afternoon or evening. Madame Laveau

This is a recipe from the beautiful gem “The Nomad Cocktail Book”. We immediately fell for this cocktail seeing there was Strega in it. Strega is an Italian herbal liqueur which adds a load of flavour to any cocktail it's used in. The Madame Laveau cocktail lets the Strega shine through, while carefully letting its taste mix with other potent ingredients such as aquavit and rum. The result is a gorgeous recipe, elegantly balanced and packed with intricate flavors. Our friend Elin over at Travel

When the team behind Porter's gin [http://www.portersgin.co.uk/] kindly asked us to try out their gin we knew we wanted to use it in a long drink. Being a citrus driven gin, pairing it with fruit flavors such us elderflower and cherry was also an easy decision. So when we found this recipe in Imbibe Magazine we knew it was a great fit for the Porter's gin. Before starting to mix we tried the gin neat, and it is as gorgeous as expected. The lemon is there, but it's also bursting with botanicals

Although it didn't say so in the recipe, we garnished this cocktail with some threaded Swedish blueberries. We thought they looked pretty against this intensely sunset coloured drink. And it gets it colour thanks to the orange juice mixed with Campari, which happens to be one of the most delicious combinations thinkable. This cocktail is bittersweet like Campari based cocktails tend to be. It's simply a gorgeous drink. Union Club Recipe from Canon Bar in Seattle Ingredients: 2 oz bourbon 1,5

Being Swedes our hearts beat a little extra for recipes featuring Swedish bottles. And it's exciting to see how punsch is finding its way to different corners of the world. It's an aromatic and flavour packed product that works so good in cocktails (and not only warm in a glass, accompanying pea soup on Thursdays - yep that's the traditional way of consuming it). Here the punsch is paired with tequila and slow gin, giving the drink both colour and flavour. And even if the lemon juice is only add

Almost tiki, but based on smokey mezcal and coffee. While we not at all encourage smoking tobacco, we can certainly understand how this cocktail got its name. The combination of flavors is really interesting. The very potent mezcal is paired with distinct flavors such as coffee, grapefruit juice and allspice! But just like in tiki drinks “more is more” and of course this recipe ends up being both delicious and memorable. Tobacconist Recipe by California Gold Ingredients: 1,5 oz mezcal 0,5 oz

We just think there's something very elegant with clear cocktails. It's like you cant't hide something, so the cocktail ends up looking very pure. It can still be potent though, in this recipe there is a large amount of gin, and just like with a Martini it is only ever so slightly enhanced with dry vermouth. The addition of the sweet elderflower, combined with the celery bitters is of course what makes this recipe different - and so in the most delicious way! Means of Preservation Recipe by Joh
