Twice in the Night

We think this one is so interesting. It is made with two bottles that we had never heard of before, but that we instantly fell in love with the moment we sipped them. The vermut from Yerbasanta has this earthy, muted flavour profile that we adore so much. It is very rich in taste, and the ruby red colour certainly entices. We paired it with some other quite potent products here, but it still stood up and gave the drink a lot of character. We have tried their white vermut as well, and it is eq

Japanese whisky is an ingredient that feels a little extra luxurious we think. Using it also makes us think about our trip to Tokyo in 2019, which somehow feels very distant right now. Here the nice whisky is combined in a slightly unusual way with passion fruit syrup and Aperol. It actually comes together real nicely and we savored each sip of this one. Recipe by Tony Roehr Ingredients: 1,5 oz Japanese whisky 0,5 oz Aperol 1 oz passion fruit syrup 0,5 oz lime juice soda water to top u

Cuban Pete

Cuban Pete

We find this drink rather elegant, with its pale colour and its subtle ingredients. Coconut water is rather unused as a cocktail ingredient, but it works beautifully we think. It is sweet and has a lot of coconut taste, but it doesn't come with the thick creamy (sometimes overwhelming) textures that coconut milk does. Also the chocolate notes here are so good. It's not a whole lot of chocolate liqueur used, but still it shines through in a much delightful way. The lime juice balances the swee

This drink we made last summer, but for some reason it didn't get posted back then. When we stumbled upon the photos now, a strong urge for summer appeared. Because this is quite a cooling and quenching drink. As it's made with amaro, sherry and sparkling wine it is fairly low-ABV, and if served over ice cubes like we did it is a super refreshing cocktail. Using sherry as a base in cocktails is something we really like. There is a certain dryness to sherry (especially fino) that we enjoy a

It was the name, and the colour. Both intrigued us enough to make this intense blue cocktail. While it will likely not actually kill a parrot, it would certainly make it dizzy. With both gin and akvavit in the mix, this is a potent one. It's kind of a Pina Colada riff, where lighter coconut water replaces heavy coconut cream. It's definitely to our liking, and the lightness combined with its freezing features make this a most enjoyable exotic drink. Recipe by Simon Difford Ingredients: 1,5

The time has finally come to surprise Matthias of @servedbysoberon [https://www.instagram.com/servedbysoberon/] with a drink. As many of you know Matthias is the annual organizer of the worldwide #secretsanté event in which cocktailers surprise each other with cocktail posts. Matthias goes through a lot of labor to make sure this event happens successfully each year, and we can only imagine how much time goes into it. With this Suit & Tie cocktail we bow to your efforts Matthias. La Conha

It's kind of a Pina Colada though not quite. It's made with coconut water rather than coconut milk/cream and we love how this refreshes an otherwise very heavy and sometimes overwhelming classic. We also especially like the addition of sherry. It gives the drink a certain dryness, plus it helps taking down the ABV. A good way to start 2021 we think! Recipe by Kate Houser Ingredients: 1,5 oz white rum 1,25 oz pineapple juice 1 oz coconut water 0,25 oz fino sherry 0,25 oz fresh lime

Happy New Year! How exciting that 2021 is around the corner, we can't help but feeling optimistic about next year! We wave goodbye to 2020 with this original cocktail that we made with a new vodka to us - Fleur de Lis [https://luckyplayervodka.com/product/fleur-de-lis-vodka/?age-verified=f68c261e5d] . It is distilled five times and on top of that filtered in a special way to create its premium taste. Here we played a bit on the Bellini, another sparkling cocktail that also uses peach puré
