Kicking the weekend off with this cocktail that combines rum and brandy. It tastes phenomenal and it has quite the sophisticated feel to it.

1 oz rum
1 oz brandy
0,75 oz sweet vermouth
0,25 oz dry curaçao
2 dashes maraschino liqueur
2 dashes Angostura bitters
Stir with fresh ice and strain into a Nick & Nora glass.

This is a simple but delicious drink, made with french Amer Picon which can be hard to find in some parts of the world. But if you ever get the chance to buy a bottle, do it! The brandy float is a nice touch. It takes up the ABV a bit, and it also creates a flavour layer which is nice to sip the drink through. Also the added orange juice brings a sour note to the drink while the tiny amount of grenadine both colors and flavors the drink. The prop feathers are synthetic by the way, and they have been nowhere near a swan we can assure.
