Then add ice to the shaker and continue shaking until fluffy. Strain into cocktail glasses. Our Calvados Cocktail Lab resulted in more than a handful of drinks. Probably the most unexpected but also the most fun was this flip (meaning an egg based cocktail) that Bella Porcile invented during the lab. Apart from the egg there’s Boulard G

The simplicity of this drink is astounding. This Martini ratio we fancy a lot, and it works well also with aquavit. Here we use O.P. Anderson Klar. A clear aquavit with heavy dill notes that is absolutely fantastic in a Martini. Dilltini Ingredients 60 ml O.P. Anderson Klar aquavit 30 ml dry vermouth Mixing Stir with fresh ice and strain into a coupe. Garnish with a lemon zest. When we recently received volume 2 of Åhus Akvavit's cocktail book, we were immediately drawn to this recipe. The freshness of lemongrass combined with stingy ginger beer and the very Scandinavian akvavit creates a very exotic but still balanced drink. Using akvavit in drinks is becoming more and more common, and we dig it! It's a product packed with flavour, often from spices and herbs. To us akvavit is often more exciting compared to plain vodka, and it can really bring character to a drink

This recipe, adapted from Kyle Webster, takes the well-known Daiquiri in a much more Swedish direction. Using Åhus Akvavit as the main ingredient we think turns this drink into a rather luxurious experience. Recipe adapted from Kyle Webster, Ingredients: 2 oz akvavit 0,75 oz lime juice 0,5 oz rich simple syrup Mixing: Shake all ingredients with fresh ice and fine strain into a coupe. Glassware: coupe

It was the name, and the colour. Both intrigued us enough to make this intense blue cocktail. While it will likely not actually kill a parrot, it would certainly make it dizzy. With both gin and akvavit in the mix, this is a potent one. It's kind of a Pina Colada riff, where lighter coconut water replaces heavy coconut cream. It's definitely to our liking, and the lightness combined with its freezing features make this a most enjoyable exotic drink. Recipe by Simon Difford Ingredients: 1,5

We love how this recipe combines Suze and akvavit, two rather distinct spirits, quite potent on their own. But thanks to the other sweet ingredients in the drink, it ends up super pleasant with a bittersweet note and a lovely yellow colour. Recipe by Florian Dubois Ingredients: 0,75 oz Suze 0,75 oz akvavit 0,66 oz lemon juice 0,5 oz Cocchi Americano Bianco 0,33 oz Maraschino liqueur Mixing: Shake all ingredients with fresh ice and strain into a chilled coupe. First of June means Pride Month has officially begun. Normally a month with worldwide parades, performances, workshops, parties and of course discos - all to highlight and also celebrate rights for the LGBT community. This year Pride Month will be quite different because of the Covid-19-situation. Of course big parades can't happen, and also most concerts and other performances are cancelled. The hospitality industry will suffer a little extra, as will all amazing artists and other performers

After making the Le Meilleur cocktail earlier we had pandan leaves in our fridge. We quickly tuned them into a vanilla tasting syrup, and then we stumbled upon the recipe for Nicky Paris, which uses pandan syrup. It's a tiki styled drink, but apart from rum there is also akvavit in the mix. As Swedes we appreciate that a little bit extra, and it is nice how good this spiced spirit works in cocktails. Nicky Paris Recipe by Will Wyatt Ingredients: 1,5 oz aged rum 0,5 oz akvavit 0,5 oz pi
