Today Omaka [https://omaka.beer/] open their beer hangout and contemporary restaurant in the middle of Stockholm. ⁠ ⁠ Master brewer Hedda Spendrup brews the beer in the very same building, and on your way in and out of the restaurant you get a good glimpse of those massive steel tanks. It's a very authentic and super local experience indeed. There are around 5-10 beers to choose from, and they are served in small enough pours to allow you to try more than one during an evening. This price winning cocktail is pretty amazing. First of all, it combines rum and beer! And as if that wasn't enough there's also coffee liqueur and sherry in the mix.⠀ Having your mum try this cocktail is a lot of fun. At first she's scared . . . because there's dark beer in it and she only likes light beer. But then on the other hand she's been to the Guinness Storehouse in Dublin Ireland, thoroughly enjoying the experience. On top of that she really likes all things coffee, and rum happens

Beer cocktails we do not shake that often, but when seeing this recipe in Oskar Kinberg’s Cocktail Cookbook all we could do was to go and buy some wheat beer. Because mixing beer with rum, banana and honey sounded too interesting not to try. And we think the result was delicious! We had this drink together with a hamburger, as it seemed like a good drink to pair with food. Be careful though when pouring the beer into the glass with the other ingredients. Well, to be honest it's because we found this vintage beer glass and instantly recognized its beauty.
