We love how this recipe combines Suze and akvavit, two rather distinct spirits, quite potent on their own. But thanks to the other sweet ingredients in the drink, it ends up super pleasant with a bittersweet note and a lovely yellow colour. Recipe by Florian Dubois Ingredients: 0,75 oz Suze 0,75 oz akvavit 0,66 oz lemon juice 0,5 oz Cocchi Americano Bianco 0,33 oz Maraschino liqueur Mixing: Shake all ingredients with fresh ice and strain into a chilled coupe. Franco-Italian Swizzle

Franco-Italian Swizzle

Green Chartreuse is something we've always enjoyed, more than often in a Last Word cocktail. But as proven in this recipe Chartreuse is also a great ingredient in highballs. And even if there's just half an ounce in this mix, you can immediately tell it's there. The colour gives it a way, and the iconic and much recognisable taste as well of course. And swizzles are fun. After adding all that crushed ice give the hole thing a good swizzle. It blends everything together, makes the ice do some

Golden Hour

Golden Hour

We recently had drinks at Dear Irving [https://www.dearirving.com/dearirving-gramercy] and one of our favourite cocktails on their current menu is the Golden Hour. It is a perfect mix of light and sweet Italicus, dry sherry, bitter Suze and refreshing Cocchi. And that salty olive oil makes the perfect edible garnish, complementing the cocktail extremely well. We love that Dear Irving are sharing the recipes for a lot of their drinks in their Instagram feed. Definitely worth checking out. And

North Sea Oil

North Sea Oil

We do like seeing aquavit in cocktail recipes. It's a traditional Nordic spirit that up until recently hasn't been used in cocktails that much. Leo Robitschek's North Sea Oil is a wonderful example of a cocktail where aquavit gets to be the shining star, while still being slightly mellowed by Cocchi Americano and triple sec. The super smokey scotch adds almost like another dimension to the drink, and the final result is simply irresistible! North Sea Oil Recipe by Leo Robitschek Ingredients: 0

Lido Shuffle

Lido Shuffle

Bubbly, pale pink, low ABV - what more could you ask for a hot summer day in Sweden? We find ourselves doing more and more highballs the hotter the temperature gets, and it's probably not so strange in the end. Of course nothing beats pure water as a quencher, but this Lido Shuffle cocktail comes pretty close! Lido Shuffle Recipe by Evan Harrison Ingredients: 1 oz Cocchi Americano 0,5 oz Aperol 0,5 oz yellow Chartreuse 0,5 oz lemon juice Mixing: Shake with fresh ice, and strain into an ice

Pirate Radio

Pirate Radio

A few months ago Jennifer Erickson @sheepishjen [https://www.instagram.com/sheepishjen/] stirred up and posted a Pirate Radio cocktail by Jason Walsh @nycmixology [https://www.instagram.com/nycmixology/] who also himself posted it in his feed even earlier. And now, half a year later this Pirate Radio has found its way to Stockholm, and the snowy weather that was present during this shoot. An edible orchid is the suggested garnish, however on Swedish latitudes these exotic flowers are rare. Wha

ELOQUENCE Monkey 47 has always been a favourite gin for us. We like the beautiful bottle and label on their own, but the product inside is so delicious as well. A rather unique gin it is, and many say it's best enjoyed neat on its own. This rule we break here though by combining it with several of the things we like. Clementine juice, lime juice and simple syrup to add acidity, sweetness and colour. And then we also add amaro Nonino and Cocchi Americano for a subtle spiciness and some more alc

Monferrato

Monferrato

The Monferrato by Leo Robitschek is a rose coloured sparkling cocktail that tastes gorgeous. It's those few drops of Peychaud that colours the cocktail so nicely, also contributing with a lot of flavour. This is actually one of the cocktails we had on our New Years Eve celebrations. The cocktails are partially shot outside, in the dark and cold just hours before 2017 turned into 2018. It was the perfect festive cocktail for such an occasion.
