Supino

Supino

⁣ Earlier this week there was a rather epic drinkstagram meetup taking place at Tweed Bar [https://www.tweedbar.se/] here in Stockholm. Together with some of the most inspiring Swedish cocktail instagrammers, we were guided through the interesting history of Bacardi rum by Richard Man [https://www.instagram.com/rum_ambassador/] and after that we got to try the Supino cocktail…⁣ ⁣ …which is the entry to this year’s Bacardi Legacy by Micke Karlsson at Tweed Bar. What we especially like about th

Disarollywood

Disarollywood

This award winning cocktail from 2012 was a lot of fun to make. Carbonating cranberry juice feels awkward to begin with, but it turns out really nice and very refreshing. Using mango juice is also not something we do everyday, and we can honestly say it's the first time ever we've paired it with cardamom syrup! It was all these unusual ingredients and methods combined that made us super excited about this drink. And the result is definitely to our liking. Maybe a slight bit on the sweet side

La Catrina

La Catrina

This is another cocktail celebrating the Swedish nature, as we are using local honey from Bee Urban [http://www.beeurban.se/] as sweetener. It is perfectly runny to begin with, so there's no need to turn it into a syrup. The sweet honey pairs very elegantly with the tequila, and when bitter Jägermeister, chocolate, orange and hickory smoke is also added this creation turns out to something quite extraordinary. Apart from flavour the smoke also adds drama to the whole presentation - and we have

The Overlook

The Overlook

Bringing the Swedish forest into drinks is something we've done before. This fir liqueur from Swedish Jonas Bronck's Spirit [http://jonasbroncksspirit.com/] is perfect to pair with pine-tasting Terroir gin from St George Spirits [http://www.stgeorgespirits.com/spirits/gins/st-george-terroir-gin/] - bringing Sweden and America together in liquid form. The cinnamon syrup used to sweeten this lime-heavy cocktail, adds further earthy notes to the overall flavour profile of the drink. We think this

Mezcalita

Mezcalita

We love mezcal. This smoky agave spirit is so full of character and flavour, and it always makes for an interesting cocktail. In the Mezcalita, mezcal gets to be the star supported by its sibling tequila as well as fresh lime juice and sweet and nutty orgeat. The result, a cloudy cocktail that contrasts so nicely with the clear ice we used. The rubber coasters by @champ.co [https://www.instagram.com/champ.co/] are made of recycled airplane tyres. And some of them just happen to have the exak

Elixir Tropical

Elixir Tropical

This exotic cocktail won the 2017 Italian edition of Bacardi Legacy, and it's easy to understand why. The mix of rum and orgeat give the drink heavy tiki vibes, while the big splash of lime keeps things refreshing. The mint leaves, shaken together with the other ingredients, add just a hint of herbal flavour that finishes this drink in the most perfect of ways. Elixir Tropical Recipe by Maurizio la Spina Ingredients: 2 oz light rum 0,5 oz fresh lime juice 0,5 oz orgeat 0,25 oz maraschino liq

Carbonated Tom Collins

Carbonated Tom Collins

Making carbonated cocktails is fun, and actually a lot of cocktails can be done this way. Just remember you’re under pressure when you use a siphon so be careful and always follow instructions from the siphon manufacturer. This fizzy Tom Collins was great! We loved the bubbly sensation and the rather dramatic way of preparing the cocktail. Carbonated Tom Collins Recipe adapted by Craig Schoettler Ingredients: 2 oz Old Tom gin 0,75 oz lemon juice 0,25 oz simple syrup 4 oz water Mixing: Add al

The one with no name

The one with no name

This is a cocktail without a name, created by Rodrigo over at @rabo.de.galo [https://www.instagram.com/rabo.de.galo/] and it is an herbal riff of a classic Pisco Sour. That yellow Chartreuse makes the cocktail not only yellow, but also earthy and boozy. It works very well with the more neutral pisco, as well with the sour lemon. Surprisingly the sweet vermouth doesn't change the colour of the drink too much, it stays pretty yellow. Thank you Rodrigo for your inspirational feed. It was an hon
