St. Stephen's Sour

St. Stephen's Sour

We've mentioned this before - but we love the smoothness orgeat brings to whatever cocktail it's used in. Here it is mixed with luxurious Cognac and also some rum. The sweet and nutty orgeat complements those spirits so well, and the squeeze of fresh lemon juice helps freshen things up. This is a perfect summer highball. We couldn't resist having our favourite crisps with it - peanut rings. St. Stephen's Sour Recipe by Jeffrey Morgenthaler Ingredients: 1 oz Cognac 1 oz aged rum 0,75 oz

Feeling fancy this Saturday? If so why not stir yourself this decadent number by Ezra Star? Cognac cocktail always put us in the mood, and this one is by no means no exception. Italian Punt e Mes is another guilty pleasure, made with one part vermouth and half a part of amaro. Exquisite on its own and extremely good in this cocktail. 1910 Recipe by Ezra Star Ingredients: 0,75 oz mezcal 0,75 oz Cognac 0,5 oz maraschino liqueur 1 oz Punt e Mes 2 dashes Peychaud’s bitters Mixing: Stir all i

Me & Mrs Jones

It's fun to use non-liquid ingredients in cocktails. Like in this one, where orange marmelade is one of the key ingredients. It gives the drink an interesting texture and an almost shiny appearance. Of course it also gives the drink a nice fruity taste. The sprig of rosemary is only used as garnish, but just the aroma from it somehow flavours the cocktail. Also your fingers smells quite nice on their own after handling the rosemary. Me & Mrs Jones Recipe from Paramour, Texas Ingredients: 1

Post Shift

This is a really elegant cocktail featuring two of our favourite liqueurs, Maraschino and green Chartreuse. Both of them blend smoothly with the equally elegant Cognac and it creates a rather high ABV drink, that you'd want to sip slowly. The golden glowing colour is so vibrant, and we think it signals autumn in the best of ways. Cheers! Post Shift Recipe by Ryan Thacker Ingredients: 1,5 oz Cognac 0,5 oz green Chartreuse 0,5 oz Maraschino liqueur 0,5 oz sweet vermouth 1 barspoon demera

Zacapa Nuet

Zacapa Nuet

Some months ago we attended a solo dining experience called Nuet. You had dinner at a table set for one, with the idea to immerse yourself fully into the food without any conversation at all. They even provided earphones with curated music to go with each dish. A truly unique experience. For us cocktail nerds, the cocktail pairing with each dish was probably the highlight of the evening. Michael Hajiyianni [https://www.instagram.com/michael_haj1/] was present throughout the whole experience a

Central Carré

Oh, are there some nice ingredients in this one?! Cognac cocktails are always so luxurious - just like sipping Champagne. This is probably the first time we've seen it paired with genever though, and we think they work brilliantly together.⁣ ⁣ The addition of Punt e Mes and a tiny amount of Fernet-Branca gives the drink both its amber colour as well as some intriguing taste.⁣ ⁣ For us this was a great nightcap, and it's one we will probably enjoy more times. In the photos we tried our best to

Peaches and Smoke

Peaches and Smoke

There are a lot of ingredients in this one, and we were confident we had them all in our home bar. Well, thats until we pulled out what we thought was Lillet rosé from our wine fridge, and realized it was actually Lillet rouge. Not exactly the same thing, but still close enough to still go along. ⁣ ⁣ Because what's really defining this cocktail is the peach paired with scotch. It's an interesting combination of fruit and smoke that works well. There are Blood and Sand vibes going on, and we ad

Chicago

Chicago

We are so excited about these new glasses. The layered effect is so fun to make use of, so we wanted a see through cocktail to take full advantage of the glass effect.⁣ ⁣ The Chicago is kind of a classic recipe, but we have actually never made it before - which is surprising considering there's both Cognac and Champagne in it which equals deliciousness.⁣ ⁣ It's a very social cocktail this one given the luxurious ingredients. It's nice to sip on in the company of others who also enjoy these wel
