This cocktail caught our attention because it mixes tequila and calvados, which we thought was a bit unusual. And as there’s also favourite liqueur – allspice dram – in it we had to give it a go.
It ends up being a drink bursting with flavour. The allspice liqueur is of course really noticeable, despite its small quantity. The semi dry sherry helps bridging the allspice with the calvados, and the tequila hoovers above everything in the most elegant way.
A true little gem this cocktail is!
Recipe from Island Creek Oyster Bar
1 oz Calvados
1 oz reposado tequila
0,75 oz Lustau East India Solera sherry
0,25 oz allspice dram
Stir with fresh ice and strain into a coupe.
