Love Makes You Feel Ten Feet Tall

Love Makes You Feel Ten Feet Tall

Love Makes You Feel Ten Feet Tall… …Jay Zimmerman certainly named this gin and pisco cocktail in the most lovingly way. And it is a drink that's easy to fall in love with. Four delicious ingredients and a tingling addition of salt. Have a look at this elegant recipe: We really like these kind of recipes with quite clean flavors. You do taste all four spirits, at the same time appreciating the combined drinking experience they deliver. We also love how pretty the cocktail looks, especially in t

May Daisy

May Daisy

May Daisy, by Phil Ward is a Cognac based cocktail. This is still relatively unusual in drinks so the recipe got us intrigued and we needed to make it. And it's good! The Cognac is a powerful spirit, that is somehow tamed in this cocktail, both by the citrus but also by the herbal Chartreuse. The result is a strong but still refreshing cocktail with slight tiki vibes. May Daisy Recipe Ingredients: 2 oz Cognac 1 oz lemon juice 0,75 oz green Chartreuse 0,75 oz simple syrup Mixing: Shake wit

Kitty Highball

Kitty Highball

This red wine based cocktail is called Kitty Highball. And because of the wine in it it gets this beautiful ruby red look, that's quite irresistible Topping up with club soda means the alcohol by volume is brought down. And as the cocktail is anyway based on wine and no other spirits the ABV is low even without the club soda. So for those who prefers wine over cocktails, this could be the entry. It tastes of wine, but there is the slightly stingy ginger as well as the sour lime to excite. And

Soft Shock

Soft Shock

Another summer sipper; this is the Soft Shock by the editors of PUNCH. Being 50% a Gin & Tonic and 50% a Rebujito this highball gets quite Spanish, mixing two of Spain's most popular drinks. And it is quite understandable why these refreshing cocktails are so popular in sunny and hot Spain. With mint, sherry and tonic water, along with lots and lots of ice this is the ultimate remedy for warmness. And yes, that's ready-made Swedish Tonic [https://www.swedishtonic.com/] we are using! Sunflower

Sunflower

Another recipe from Kara Newman's [https://www.instagram.com/newman_kara/] book “Shake. Stir. Sip.” This is a Sunflower cocktail, created by Sam Ross. It's one of those four equal parts recipes, that is so easy to make at home. It was super sunny when we shot these drinks. We had to shade off the sun, at the same time as we wanted to make the most of the light - it is a Sunflower after all. Then sipping on the drinks outside, in the evening sun was quite wonderful. The cocktail is really good.

Roebling Rumrise

Roebling Rumrise

Lambrusco is an intensly blue grape, that mostly grows in Italy. With it an equally intensly blue, slightly sparkling, wine is created. And with this pretty cool wine we made a Roebling Rumrise cocktail. The recipe is by Rob Krueger, and as it's quite low on alcohol it is perfect to sip in large gulps during hotter days. We were throwing a small cocktail party recently and this was the opening cocktail. Apart from being delicious it is a great conversation piece, as that blue colour is quite m

Astoria

Astoria

It is finally our turn to try St. George's Terroir Gin [http://www.stgeorgespirits.com/spirits/gins/st-george-terroir-gin/]. We have read so much about, so using it in this Astoria cocktail was quite exciting. Douglas fir, California bay laurel and coastal sage are a few of the slightly unexpected ingredients in this gin. And especially the fir shines through, creating an earthy, foresty gin that is actually quite different to most other gins we have tried. The Astoria is basically a reversed
